Chilcompton Village Hall, Wells Road, Chilcompton, Somerset, BA3 4EX

Chilcompton village hall was built in 1981 and extended in 1991.

The main hall is 60 feet by 30 feet with glass doors to the rear patio and with a stage measuring 30 feet by 15 feet. It will seat 300 for a concert or play or 180 with tables for a reception or a meal.

There are three smaller rooms accommodating 50, 40 and 20 people respectively, a kitchen, foyer, bar and cloakrooms including a toilet for the disabled.

The car park will take 50 cars, more if double parked and there is disabled access to the building.

The hall has a premises licence for alcohol, music and entertainment. The premises supervisor will arrange a bar for which £20 is charged.

The Friday Coffee Club, started in 1984, continues to flourish with a dozen members at present, who enjoy tea, coffee, cake and a chat for an hour every week at 10.30am.

We also have lunch about three times a year. New members are always welcome to come along and join us.  We also need help from volunteers, who can transport members to the village hall and take them home again once a month or who can help in the kitchen serving teas.  Please contact Marlene on 233774 to join or volunteer.

The club has been going for over 40 years and visitors are always welcome for £1.   Activities include Bring & Buy, Raffles, Entertainment and Tea & Biscuits. There is a Christmas Party planned for December. For more information contact Shirley Obern on 232888
