VJ Day Celebrations

On Saturday 15th August there will be a short ceremony at 3.00pm in the village hall car park to mark the 75th anniversary of VJ Day.

The flag will be raised and words will be spoken. Following this a small delegation will walk down to the war memorial and lay a wreath.

The Parish Council is mindful of Covid-19 restrictions so those attending will be asked to wear a face covering and to keep 2 metres apart. Because of the restrictions there can only be a maximum number of 30 people present so could anyone who wishes to attend please contact the clerk, Malcolm Rigby, to book a place.

Please walk to the venue, there will only be parking for the disabled.
