The Parish Council is seeking a ‘handyperson’ to help keep the village looking smart and tidy.
The person (or persons) would be asked to do one-off jobs as they came up around the village. It might be a bit of weeding, cleaning or painting railings, varnishing a bench or clearing some brambles. The tasks might be seasonal or once in a blue moon. Payments would be given accordingly.

Somerset Waste Partnership say that due to covid related staff shortages the recycling will not be emptied today. So please put out your waste next Friday.
The Street is expected to be closed to traffic near Church Lane for about 9 days commencing 11 March. Further details are available in the attached document. The 173 bus will not come through the lower village until 24 March.

Following an increasing number of reports around scams asking people to wrongly pay for COVID-19 vaccinations, Avon and Somerset Police are reminding people to be wary and to report any suspected cases to Action Fraud. There is a vacancy for a Parish Councillor. The position is voluntary and is open to village residents. No particular experience or qualifications are necessary. If you would like to see what we do, please contact the Parish Clerk to get details of our next meeting.
